Is that why we listen to music as a kid, even before we can speak? Is that why most of us learned the alphabet through the "ABC song"? Read about how music helps students in school: https://www.ts4hope.com/single-po…/…/05/MUSIC-IS-A-MORAL-LAW Music is an universal language, there are no language or cultural boundaries. Lets do a little activity... share a song that has helped you get over hard times or a song that always makes you happy. Or even a song you want to recommend to other, cause why not?

Although it is still summer, there have been recent updates and concerns revolving the consideration of opening schools. Soon enough, students will be out and sitting in the classroom. While some working parents were experiencing inconveniences with their children staying at home, the re-opening of school is another set of inconveniences. Parents have to worry about the safety of their children, whether it is about the pandemic or where they will be when the parents are at work. Read here about the effects re-opening schools can put on families.

Regardless of the Platform, there has been a lack of representation of homelessness. People have to physically search just to get more information or to read about other’s experiences. Do we need more representation regarding the seriousness of homelessness? What platforms can we use?

Article Title: The Summer Surge While youth can get support throughout the school, the same resources and support are not given to our youth during the summer. This leads to the increase of homeless families and youth during the summer months. Are there any sources out there available for them? #hopeforthoseinneed

"The burden of having to look at the big picture is only making me step back."- Blonote This is my personal thought: We may be looking at one thing but to gain a better understanding of the surroundings, we have to take the step back. Maybe we should not be looking at one, but how that one thing fits into the puzzle, along with others.

Video Title: Formerly homeless family gives back during COVID-19 pandemic With the help of an organization, this family was able to get back on their feet. Only taking what they needed, this family used the rest of the money to provide food and supplies for those who are homeless during the pandemic. This is an example of giving back to the community. What can we do to help our communities? #hopeforthoseinneed Check out the video here, along with other videos: https://www.ts4hope.com/videos

Many people assume that most individuals are homeless due to health issues which are the effects of the use of drugs, crimes, etc. However, many people do not stop and think about the reason why one does not have a place to reside. This article can shed some new light on homelessness. As a country, we are very proud of our veterans. Yet, when we see them as someone on the street and not as someone has risked their lives for us. Maybe after reading this, we can build a better sense of awareness and change our perception of those who are homeless.

I saw this video recently of a group of people donating food to homeless and starving elderly during this worldwide pandemic. Even with the distribution of food every day from a neighbor support group, but never enough for everyone as the line keeps growing. No one was standing 6 feet apart, as they are more worried about starving than being sick. More information can be found about the impact on the elderly can be found through the articles.

In Helping Others
Hello, My name is Michelle Clark and I am 29 years young. I am homeless and have no stable employment. I do pick up odd jobs to help me get by, or day labor but barely. This is not what I envisioned for my life and I am not an unreliable or poor worker. In 2013, I hitchhiked from Missouri to Fort Myers to start a new chapter in my life, which included an escape from drugs and violence. I have been drug-free since then. In Fort Myers, I entered New Life Dream Center and successfully found employment and a new lease on life. I was happy, active, and enjoying a simple life and had plans to become an E.M.T. so I could give back to my community. I was signed up for classes at Florida Southwestern College to pursue this goal, but illness as well as the coronavirus shutdown intervened. Over the last 3 years I began to be ill every few months, which has greatly interfered with my ability to maintain employment, pay rent, and pay other modest bills. This undiagnosed illness recurs sporadically and has rendered me incapable of working my scheduled hours or even enjoying life due to the chronic pain it causes. I have sought medical help and occasionally been hospitalized. I do everything possible, but it is out of my control. As a result, I have lost multiple jobs and affordable housing opportunities. I have no immediate family. I wish to work and rebuild my life. I need to prioritize finding affordable housing and employment so I can return to being a productive person in my community. I maintain my goal towards becoming a certified E.M.T., so I can give back to the community. I have been searching for housing and vocational resources in the area for months to no avail. I am willing to consider any assistance programs or referrals to programs that offer assistance, I would like to also mention that I am a Christian and spiritual person. I believe in God and his guidance. As such, I would be interested in any assistance offered in or by a faith oriented organization. I am available immediately and am happy to respond to any questions via my contact information below. Thank you for your consideration or any referrals you can provide. Hunger and Homelessness has a great effect on students, especially children, and adolescents. How do we expect students to perform well in school when the worry of what to eat and where to sleep is always on their mind? What can schools do to help? Please check out our articles regarding how Youth are impacted.
